So… I was that guy on Youtube who started to gain a great following and disappeared like Hugh Jackman in “The Prestige“. Well I can reassure who ever is reading this and watched my “I guess I owed you this…” video that this is no magic trick of any sort. I’ll try to not get so personal. I wish I could give you a tear jerking action packed explanation. Like me being diagnosed with a life threatening illness. Or traveling to Tokyo and studying abroad. All though it would be entertaining.. But hey! My life is pretty boring. After Mr.Black’s Movie Reveiws featured one of my video’s that displayed my editing and writing skills. (My acting was horrid by the way.) I got an extreme number of new and great subscribers. Before I had around 25.. After the promotion my number jumped to about 400.. (This number has declined since then.) I did feel some pressure to keep delivering good video’s. But that’s not the reason I left. I left because I saw youtube beginning to sell out to corporations. Commercials started to interrupt blogs. Music video’s now belonged to Vimeo. I felt that youtube lost the community content driven quality’s it built it’s success on.  To get noticed on youtube today you might have to be blessed with a pair of Double D fun bags or a cute cat doing people things. Don’t get me wrong. There’s still a lot of “grassroots” youtubers that are very talented and are very successful because of it. I just didn’t think youtube was for me at that time. I didn’t want my video to be muted by some major record label copy write claim because I decided to put their song as a musical back drop to one of my vlogs or films that probably was not even going to reach 1000 views. I didn’t want to keep up with the corporations and their promoted 30 seconds commercials of the hot new hybrid. I felt claustrophobic. I had to get out. And that’s what I did. Like a building on fire. I GOT THE FUCK OUT!!! Youtube hasn’t changed much since I’ve been gone. It’s just gotten worst. It’s sad… So sad…  I also moved to a different state and recently had a child with my fiance. So there was a lot of shit going on.. I never made one of those cry baby, sappy, melodramatic farewell youtube videos. It just didn’t feel right. I also took my video’s with me. That came back to bite me in the ass because I lost all my videos due to a virus attack. So I am unable to re-upload any of my previous creations.. Yeah that sucks donkey balls but I see it as a clean slate. I haven’t figured out when I will upload a new video yet. I can promise that I will be using this blog and posting entry’s almost daily.
